following a recommendation from a friend i used both a plumber and an electrician from pimlico in june 2008 to deal with a number of small jobs around our house. both turned up on time, explained in simple terms what needed to be done then did exactly what was discussed, and then cleaned up after themselves.

they are slightly more expensive than some others but you do get a very professional service, and they didn't charge for parking unlike others.

if you have an idea what parts are likely to be required then get them yourself as they charge a 20% "stocking charge" on top of the actual part cost and the time of the guy going to buy it (although this seems to be pretty standard)

overall i would recommend them

I haven't actually had any work done by Pimlico Plumbers as they wanted to charge me an hourly fee of £75 just to come over and give me an estimate.
Admittedly this would be deducted from the final bill if I chose to go ahead with them, but having heard they're expensive anyway, I think this is a cheek.
Plenty of other plumbers out there willing to come and quote for free.

They are expensive but you get what you pay for and the service is efficent and of a high quality
