Woodworm is a general term for several species of wood boring insects.
There are four key types of beetle that can cause problems to the timbers of a property, targeting floorboards, joinery and structural beams. They all lay their eggs on or in timber which provides a food source for the larvae as they burrow around the wood.
These infestations are usually identified by a collection of holes that appear in the surface of the wood when the adult emerges to mate.
