Move all furniture to the centre of the room, covering it and the floor with plastic sheeting
Ensure the walls to be painted are clean and dry
If you are planning to paint onto newly applied plasterwork, you will need to 'seal the wall' with a 50:50 mix of emulsion and water before applying the first coat.
Begin by carefully painting edges between the wall and skirting, coving, and door/window frames using the small paintbrush
Complete the wall by filling in the body of the wall with the roller, pad or large paintbrush
Spread paint out thinly and evenly
Leave to dry before applying further coats.
Take your time, don't rush!
